We love British accents, and we'd like to celebrate their diversity with you.
To take part, just call 0151 266 8283 and tell us which accents you love (or hate) the most and why. Your message will then be posted directly to this site, where you can listen to it and send it on to your friends.
The best caller will win an awesome Nokia N82 along with a year’s free subscription to both Moblog and Spinvox.
On top of that, we’re going to throw in 250 Moo cards as well.
Great prizes for a great competition and all you have to do is pick up the phone!
Some accent stats:
Almost three quarters (73 per cent) of people in Britain don’t like the sound of their own voices.
Only one in twenty of us would like to speak Cockney.
Only one per cent of Brits would choose to speak like a Brummy.
Overall the Queen’s English is the most popular accent in Great Britain.
*calls are charged at the national rate or as part of your inclusive minutes

"My most hated accent currently the Belfast accent and the Southampton accent. Mostly cos I spent the last 20 months working away at least 2 or 3 days a week if not more. My favourite accent is the Efix(?) one because it means I'm at home and not away at work"

"Only me. After much consideration and I'll admittedly say that I was quoted earlier on saying that I I like the Scottish girls accent I've just seen Jenny Faulkner there on the television and I'll have to have to say definitely not. Anything but Jenny Faulkner and if I come to any more conclusions I'll I'll let you know. Bye"

"Yeah my favourite accent is the South London accent. Some could call it street slang I guess we're having trouble describing it. But being from North London only make sense. Bye bye"
